Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Install Elevator, building 614, Eglin AFB FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 235950. The acquisition is unrestricted. This is a Performance Price Trade Off acquisition and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes, but not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in the installation of a new elevator cab, complete into existing two-story elevator shaft selectively demolish existing elevator door openings and reconstruct with door offset as indicated. Install new stainless steel elevator door buck and floor door. Repair miscellaneous finished in elevator lobbies. Where new work is to be installed above existing lay-in ceiling in corridors and other areas, the ceiling tiles and grid shall be removed, and replaced with new to match existing. The mechanical work consists of installing cooling for the elevator drive equipment and modifying the existing sprinkler coverage for the elevator shaft and machine room. Electrical shall consist of, and not limited to new elevator lobby and pit lighting, power wiring and protection for new elevator motor and accessories, removal and rewiring of conduit and wiring obstruction pit, and associated fire alarm devices, appliances and connections. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance wit the plans and specifications. The Government reserves the right to award any of the above bid alternatives. Performance period is 270 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $100k and 500k. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 23 July 2002. The ESTIMATED PROPOSAL DUE DATE is 23 August 2002. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS Number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. See Note 26.
