This contract involves general construction work to re-roof the Port Angeles Visitor Center and the adjoining Discover Your Northwest buildings in Clallam County, Washington. Additionally, there were bid options proposed for three other structures—the Christian House, Garage, and Manager's Carport—located in the Quinault District within Grays Harbor County. For these optional buildings, the work entailed the demolition of their cedar shake roofs and replacement with standing seam metal roofs, prioritized in the order of the house, garage, and carport. However, only the base bid items were awarded under this contract. Awarded on September 20, 2013, to Dark Horse Enterprise, LLC, based in Bremerton, Washington, the contract amount totals $151,600 and covers only the re-roofing of the two base bid buildings. None of the optional roofing projects for the additional three buildings were exercised at the time of award or subsequently. The contract is managed under the Department of the Interior’s Dsc Contracting Services Division, with its place of performance focused on Olympic National Park, Washington.
