Full Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, requires a roof replacement under construction Project Number 693-10-000. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools, supervision, equipment, permits, testing and reports for replacing roof #21, located above the warehouse area, 11,500 sq ft. Work includes installation of new insulation system and a cover board, two intermediate- plies and one top ply of roofing membrane that is a total of 3ply roof. There are all new aluminum metal components to be installed. Replace all roof drains and recertified the lighting protection. The contractor will apply an ELMS bio-based coating over the roof. The contractor is responsible for the removal of all debris from the roof and the ground. All work must be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications and all federal, state and local codes and regulations. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Period of Performance will be approximately 120 calendar days. All work on this project must be accomplished between 8 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday excluding national holidays. Set-Aside Information: This solicitation is to be issued as a 100% service-disabled veteran small business set aside (SDVOSB). The firm must be small under relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and the must be registered and current in the following websites: www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov . Bidders must ensure registrations in these websites are not expired and are correct, current and valid. The NAICS code for this project is 238160 and the small business size standard is $14.0 Million. Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds, and Performance Bonds are required.
