This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the Department of the Interior Office of Surface Mining Reclamation & Enforcement Appalachian Region AML Emergency Federal Reclamation Programs Invitation for Bid (IFB) on the Silver Creek Rockfall in Beattyville, Lee County, Kentucky. The work to be performed will include furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials required to excavate and remove all rockfall material, construct mine drains, revegetate all disturbed areas, restore all areas affected by the rockfall material, and demobilize in accordance with the attached Technical Specifications. MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference and On-Site Bid Opening will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Participants are to meet at the Shell Gas Station on Route 11 in Beattyville at 11:00 AM EST. Contractors may obtain a copy of the IFB package from the Contracting Officer at the Pre-Bid Meeting site. Prospective bidders MUST be present at the start of the Pre-Bid Meeting as announced by the Contracting Officer, and be present for the bid opening. Time of bid opening will be announced at the conclusion of the Pre-Bid Meeting. Pre-Construction Conference will follow the announcement of the successful low bidder. Estimated price range is $195,000 - $255,000. 20% Bid Bond requirement has been WAIVED. NAICS 237990 applies. Size Standard $33.5M.
