THIS MODIFICATION IS TO CORRECT THE SYNOPSIS FROM A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE TO INVITATION FOR BIDS SYNOPSIS. ALL OTHER INFORMATION REMAINS THE SAME. Wall Stabilization, Robert Dole U.S. Courthouse, 500 State Avenue, Kansas City, KS. PCN RKS20000. IFB on or about 12/20/2003 with approximate bid opening 1/20/2004. Estimated cost range $250,000. - $500,000. Time for completion 120 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Project involves but is not limited to: Installation of a cast in place reinforced concrete beam and concrete piers, tying them to footings of existing retaining walls. Removal of fill behind retaining walls and repair of drainage system. Replaced removed material with suitable fill material and installation of a new surface as specified. Dismantling, removal, and storage on site, prevention of damage to and reassembly and installation of playground equipment. Installation of six-foot tall chain link fence around a temporary play area with a gate and acceptable fabric or plastic visual screening. Repairs to brick/stone and concrete walkways around courthouse and painting of handrails identified on drawing. The procurement is offered on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program. The applicable NAICS code is 238120, size standard $12. million.
