Timothy Hendricks

Timothy Hendricks serves as a Fuels Specialist at the Gila National Forest, where he plays a critical role in securing and managing the logistical infrastructure necessary to sustain federal forest operations. His responsibilities include procuring specialized fuels, fuel handling equipment, and related services essential for wildfire suppression, equipment maintenance, and seasonal resource management. As a technical procurement lead, he ensures compliance with federal energy standards and environmental regulations while supporting mission-critical operations across remote and rugged terrain. His acquisitions directly enable the U.S. Forest Service’s operational readiness and ecological stewardship goals. Hendricks collaborates with a network of qualified vendors specializing in military-grade and USDA-compliant fuels, including diesel, aviation fuel, and biofuel blends, as well as providers of fuel storage, transport, and safety compliance systems. He maintains consistent working relationships with certified distributors who meet stringent federal specifications for fuel quality, hazardous material handling, and just-in-time delivery in austere environments. His procurement approach emphasizes reliability, safety, and regulatory adherence over cost alone, fostering long-term partnerships with vendors who demonstrate technical expertise and operational flexibility. While specific set-aside data is not available, Hendricks operates within the Department of Agriculture’s broader commitment to small business inclusion, routinely engaging 8(a), HUBZone, and SDVOSB-certified firms where qualified and capable. His contracting patterns reflect a deliberate effort to leverage socioeconomic programs to strengthen local supply chains and support rural economies adjacent to national forest boundaries. His primary procurement focus centers on NAICS codes related to fuel distribution (493110), hazardous waste management (562111), and specialized vehicle and equipment maintenance (811118). He specializes in procuring bulk fuel delivery systems, fuel transfer pumps, spill containment equipment, and safety training services tailored to federal wildland firefighting protocols. His technical domain expertise lies in ensuring fuel logistics meet NFPA, EPA, and USDA Forest Service operational standards.
