Trung Nguyen

Trung D. Nguyen serves as the Technical Point of Contact for the W6QK Acc-orlando under the Department of the Army, where he provides critical technical oversight for acquisitions related to advanced military training systems and defense technology integration. In this role, he bridges operational requirements with procurement execution, ensuring that contract deliverables align with the agency’s mission to modernize live-fire simulation infrastructure, mission command capabilities, and aviation/artillery training platforms. Nguyen is deeply involved in the technical evaluation and validation of proposals, guiding contracting teams through complex engineering specifications and performance-based requirements for high-fidelity training systems and sensor-enabled instrumentation. He maintains consistent working relationships with key contractors including TORCH RESEARCH, LLC, AMD INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES LLC, ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL, and FIDELITY TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION, all of which are recognized for their expertise in defense-grade instrumentation, simulation software, and systems integration. His procurement approach emphasizes technical rigor and performance outcomes, fostering long-term partnerships with vendors capable of delivering ruggedized, field-deployable solutions under stringent military standards. Nguyen’s acquisition portfolio reflects a strict focus on open competition, with 100% of contracts awarded under no set-aside classifications, indicating a priority for technical capability over socioeconomic preferences. This reflects the specialized nature of the systems procured, where mission-critical performance often necessitates selection from the broadest pool of qualified technical providers. His primary procurement focus is centered on NAICS 334519—Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing—encompassing the acquisition of precision instrumentation, training system sensors, data acquisition modules, and embedded control systems. His technical domain expertise lies in the integration of real-time data systems, digital twin environments, and automated feedback mechanisms essential for next-generation military training and readiness platforms.
