Vito T. Galati

Vito T. Galati serves as a Contracting Specialist at the U.S. Army’s Engineering Support Center in Huntsville, where he plays a pivotal role in executing mission-critical procurement actions that sustain Army infrastructure and operational readiness. Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of acquisitions, Galati specializes in engineering support services, facility modernization, and technical installation contracts aligned with the Department of the Army’s strategic imperatives. His portfolio is dominated by firm-fixed-price and performance-based contracts under the FAR, with a consistent focus on electrical systems integration and related infrastructure enhancements essential to military installations nationwide. Galati maintains established working relationships with a select group of trusted contractors, including AMD International Technologies LLC, Constellation NewEnergy, Inc., MSL Housekeeping Services LLC, Boh Environmental, L.L.C., and Hydrogeologic, Inc. These partnerships reflect a preference for vendors with proven expertise in facility maintenance, environmental compliance, energy efficiency, and specialized electrical installation. His contracting approach emphasizes reliability, technical proficiency, and long-term performance outcomes, fostering collaborative vendor engagement grounded in compliance and accountability. A staunch advocate for small business participation, Galati exclusively utilizes Total Small Business Set-Aside authorities under FAR 19.5, ensuring all acquisitions are reserved for small business concerns. This consistent policy reflects a deep institutional commitment to socioeconomic equity and the empowerment of small, independent contractors within the defense supply chain. His procurement patterns demonstrate no use of other set-asides, underscoring a singular focus on broad small business inclusion across all contract actions. His technical domain is narrowly concentrated in NAICS 238210—Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors—reflecting a specialized expertise in electrical systems design, installation, and retrofitting for military facilities. Galati’s acquisitions consistently support the modernization of power distribution networks, lighting systems, emergency backup infrastructure, and mission-critical electrical upgrades, ensuring installations remain resilient, code-compliant, and operationally secure.
