AI Chat Gets a New Document Hub Modal and Hover Previews 📂

The document experience in AI Chat just got a significant upgrade. A cleaner way to browse your Document Hub, hover previews for attachments, and drag-and-drop across the board.
What's New
Document Hub Modal
The old slide-in tray for selecting documents has been replaced with a clean, centered modal. Browse your Document Hub, find the files you need, select them, hit Add to Chat, and they're attached. Much cleaner than the tray, especially when you're working with a lot of files.
Hover Previews
Hover any attached document chip in the chat to get quick options:
- Preview — see the document inline without opening a new tab (supports PDFs, Word, Excel, CSV, and plain text)
- Remove — detach it from the chat
- Open — launch the full document viewer for a deeper read
Drag & Drop Everywhere
You can now drag files directly into the chat on:
- Contracts AI — drop a document and ask questions about it in context
- Gov AI — same drag-and-drop support
- Contract Search — consistent with the rest of the AI chat experiences
How It Works
Click the + button or type @ to open the Document Hub modal and browse your files. Or just drag a file from your desktop directly into the chat window. Either way, the AI automatically reads and understands the document, ready for questions.
Why It Matters
A clunky document picker slows down research. When the friction is high, people skip adding context — and the AI's answers suffer for it. These changes make attaching documents feel natural, so you're more likely to actually give the AI what it needs to be useful.
Get Started
Open any AI Chat in CLEATUS and try attaching a document using the new modal or drag-and-drop. The experience is now consistent across Contracts, Gov AI, and Contract Search.
