Spot product vs. service contracts at a glance π·οΈ
Contracts now show a Product or Service badge whenever the solicitation documents make it clear, so you can instantly tell what an opportunity is buying without digging.

Hello everyone! We've just rolled out Product & Service tags across your contracts β a small label that answers one of the first questions you ask about any opportunity: is this a product buy or a service buy?
What's New
Product & Service tags now appear on every contract where we can confidently determine what's being bought. Each contract shows a blue Product badge or a teal Service badge based on what the solicitation documents actually say β so the answer is waiting for you the moment you open the page, not buried three pages into the PWS.
How It Works
Find the badge at a glance
- π― Open any contract from your pipeline or search results
- Look at the badge row at the top of the General Information tab β the Product or Service tag sits right alongside the status and set-aside badges
- No badge means the source documents weren't clear enough to make the call confidently
It's automatic
- New and updated contracts get tagged as they come in β nothing to configure
- Tags are drawn from the solicitation documents themselves, so you're reading the source, not a guess
- Coverage builds progressively: not every contract will have a tag on day one, but the list grows as contracts are processed
Why It Matters
Whether an opportunity is a product buy or a service buy shapes everything β your pricing strategy, your team composition, and your go/no-go decision. Today that distinction often means opening the solicitation and scanning for clues. Now it's the first thing you see, so you can qualify the right opportunities faster and move past the ones that aren't a fit without breaking your stride.
Get Started
Open any contract in your pipeline and check the badge row at the top of the General Information tab. It's already there waiting for you.
Happy hunting! π―
