Know why an award can't become a proposal π
Award pages now explain why past work cannot enter your pipeline, whether an original solicitation exists, and when to watch for the recompete.

We've made award records easier to understand and act on. Award page explanations now tell you why a past award cannot become a proposal, what happened to its original solicitation, and when the work may return as a recompete.
What's New
Award page explanations now appear at the top of every award in Market Intelligence. Each explanation makes the record's status clear: this is work that has already been awarded, not an active opening you can add to your pipeline. It also surfaces the award's end date and explains whether an original solicitation is available.
How It Works
- Open any award under Market Intelligence, then Contracts or Grants
- A note at the top explains that the page represents past work and cannot be turned into a proposal
- The note includes the award's end date, giving you a practical marker for when the recompete may approach
- When CLEATUS can trace the award to its original solicitation, you get a direct link to open it
- When no public solicitation is available, the explanation tells you why. The work may have been ordered under a contract vehicle, competed only among vehicle holders, awarded without competition, or never published in the source record
Why It Matters
An award is history, but it still contains useful capture intelligence. Knowing that a contract was competed only among vehicle holders tells you how the agency buys. Seeing that it was awarded without competition changes how you interpret the opportunity. Most importantly, the period of performance helps you stop chasing a closed record and start planning for the next buying cycle at the right time.
These explanations turn what looked like a blocked action into context you can use. Instead of wondering why the "Add to Pipeline" path is unavailable, you can understand the procurement route, inspect the original solicitation when one exists, and decide whether the recompete belongs in your capture plan.
