Hi everyone! We've added native Office files to the Proposal Writer. Word documents and workbooks now open for editing, while PowerPoint decks render for review. The assistant writes Word documents and fills workbooks as real Office files instead of Markdown.
What's New
Native Office files means every Word document and workbook in your bid package opens in a real editor, and PowerPoint decks render for review. The assistant now writes prose volumes as Word documents, fills supplied forms cell by cell, and reads what is inside a Word file instead of skipping past it.
How It Works
- 📄 Click any Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file in your file tree and it opens in the editor, whether you wrote it or the Government sent it
- Type in a Word document the way you would in Word, then use "Export as PDF", "Export as DOCX", or "Download all" when the package is ready
- Edit a workbook cell by cell. If it carries data validation, protected ranges, charts, or pivots, only your cell values are written back and everything else comes back exactly as it was sent
- Ask the assistant to draft a volume and it writes a real Word file. Ask it to revise one section and the rest of your document is left alone
Why It Matters
What you send to the Government is what you saw on screen. No exporting a Markdown draft and hoping the formatting survived, no downloading a supplied form to fill it in Word and uploading it back, and no decks you can only look at after you download them. Styles, formulas, and macros stay intact from the file tree to the submission package.
Get Started
Open any pursuit, go to Proposal, and click a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file in the Bid Package tab.
