Keep pursuit details current with workflows ⚙️
Update Pursuit lets your workflows keep key pipeline details accurate as new information arrives, without changing the shared contract record.

Hi everyone! We've added a faster way to keep your pipeline records accurate: Update Pursuit lets an automated workflow update the details that change as you learn more about an opportunity, while leaving the shared contract record untouched.
What's New
The Update Pursuit workflow action gives you a focused way to update a pursuit's title, estimated value, posted date, due date, or set-aside. Your workflow can make the change, pass the updated values to later steps, and preserve the previous details for an audit trail. It is useful when a workflow discovers a correction or a more current deadline while processing an opportunity, so the next person opening the pursuit sees the same current information your workflow just found today.
How It Works
Add the action
- Open Workflows and add an Update Pursuit action
- Choose the Pursuit ID from the trigger or an earlier workflow step
- Add only the fields you want to change: Estimated value (low), Estimated value (high), Title, Posted date, Due date, or Set-aside
Keep the workflow flexible
- Use a fixed value or a workflow variable for the value, title, and date fields
- Pick Set-aside from the list; it always takes a fixed value
- Any field you don't add keeps its existing value
- If a value is invalid, that item is skipped and the workflow continues
- Use updated fields in downstream nodes through workflow variables
Why It Matters
Your pipeline can stay current as new information arrives, without asking someone to make the same routine edits by hand. You keep the details your team relies on up to date, preserve the shared contract record, and have a clear history of what changed.
Get Started
Open Workflows, add Update Pursuit, choose a Pursuit ID, and add at least one field you want the workflow to maintain.
Happy automating! ⚙️
