What does AGO472000 General Services BCIIHQ do?

The AGO472000 General Services BCIIHQ, operating under the Ohio Department of Ohio, focuses on sustaining critical operational infrastructure through specialized maintenance and security services. Its core mission centers on ensuring the reliability and continuity of physical and procedural assets essential to state operations, with a clear emphasis on preventive maintenance of commercial and industrial equipment and the deployment of professional security systems. Strategic priorities include minimizing downtime through proactive service contracts, enhancing facility resilience, and maintaining compliance with operational safety standards. Key programs revolve around lifecycle management of non-automotive machinery and integrated security monitoring solutions that support secure, uninterrupted state functions. Procurement patterns indicate a consistent reliance on service-based contracts for ongoing maintenance and security system support, rather than capital equipment acquisition. The agency typically utilizes performance-based solicitations requiring vendors to meet defined service level agreements, with a preference for long-term, renewable agreements that ensure continuity of expertise and accountability. Contracts are structured to emphasize responsiveness, scheduled preventive maintenance, and system integrity validation. Industry preferences are narrowly focused on NAICS 811310 for industrial machinery repair and maintenance and NAICS 561621 for security systems services. These categories reflect a deliberate alignment with technical service providers capable of delivering certified, on-site support for complex mechanical and electronic systems. The agency does not employ set-asides and appears to prioritize vendor capability, technical certification, and service track record over demographic or socioeconomic classifications. As a state-level operational support entity within Ohio’s administrative structure, AGO472000 functions without a distinct physical location but serves statewide infrastructure needs through centralized procurement. It relies on standard federal and state contract vehicles to acquire essential maintenance and security services, coordinating with vendor networks to ensure statewide coverage and rapid response capability.
