Strategic priorities emphasize the modernization of building systems through smart sensor integration, energy management services, and the preservation of federal assets, including specialized art conservation for government collections. The agency frequently utilizes Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) vehicles and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) to manage recurring needs, alongside sole-source justifications for specialized software and technical support. The agency primarily targets vendors within the construction and professional technical services sectors, specifically those specializing in institutional building and architectural services. There is a demonstrated preference for Small Business (SBA) set-asides, as well as engagements with Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and HUBZone (HZC) certified firms. As a specialized unit within the Public Buildings Service of the General Services Administration, this team manages national-level contracts that support the federal government's physical footprint.
