022-27 Crane Operator Training, Testing & Recertification

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking qualified firms to provide crane operator training, testing, and recertification for its employees. This contract covers a variety of equipment, including mobile, service truck, articulating, digger derrick, and telescopic boom cranes, as well as signalperson and rigger qualifications and OSHA Final Rule crane operator evaluations. Training must consist of a combination of classroom and hands-on instruction and must strictly adhere to the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) requirements. Both the bidding firm and all training personnel must be NCCCO certified. Performance of services can occur at either ODOT-provided or vendor-provided sites, with the responsible party for site requirements varying based on the location used. The contract period runs from the date of award through December 31, 2028. Awards will be based on the total cost of all items combined, provided the bidder is determined to be responsive and responsible. Selected vendors are responsible for managing all NCCCO paperwork and must provide pass/fail score reports to the ODOT Training Supervisor within five business days of receiving results. Additionally, contractors must comply with state and federal non-discrimination laws, maintain required insurance policies, and execute a Data Privacy and Security Addendum.
