The proposed Caltrans HM-1 project occurs on Westbound (WB) State Route 22 (SR-22 in the city of Garden Grove in Orange County. The project proposes removal to a depth of 0.10’ of existing asphalt pavement by cold plane and replacing it with Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA) on the WB direction of SR-22 Mainline from Brookhurst St. Undercrossing to Euclid St. Undercrossing. Work activities also include replacement of pavement delineation, electrical loops and rumble strips. No vegetation removal is anticipated. The purpose of the project is to repair distressed asphalt pavement along WB SR-22 by cold planing and replacing it with RHMA. Disturbed soil area is anticipated to be less than 1.0 acre. The project has state funding. All work will occur in State right of way. No new right of way will occur.
