The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number ALP-60193-R2 for a project managed by the California Department of Transportation. Located in Alpine County along State Route 89 between post mile 19.18 and 19.7, the work focuses on the repair and replacement of five existing corrugated metal pipe culverts at Indian Creek and four of its unnamed tributaries. The scope of work includes the rehabilitation of one culvert through invert paving and the replacement of four others with reinforced concrete pipe culverts. To facilitate construction access, the project involves riparian vegetation clearing and grubbing at the inlet and outlet of each location, and clear water diversions may be implemented at several sites as required. This project is categorized as exempt under California Code of Regulations sections 15302 and 15304 because the new structures will maintain the same footprint, purpose, and capacity as the existing ones and involve only minor land alterations without the removal of healthy trees. The agreement is executed pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code.
