10-1T460 Pedestrian Safety Improvements

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes culvert replacement at Post Mile (PM) 7.28, on State Route (SR) 49 in Amador County. The scope of work includes replacing the existing 24”-diameter High Density Polyethylene pipe (Culvert ID No. 003-002) with a 24” Reinforced Concrete Pipe. All work will occur in Caltrans existing Right of Way. The purpose of the project is to address the deteriorated drainage system. The project is needed to prevent potential failure of the overlying highway due to the culvert deterioration and improve drainage.
