Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR: 1 ea, P/N 951-0000 HD -1T DEGAUSSER, DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH DATA SECURITY INC. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to DATA SECURITY INC 729 Q Street Lincoln, NE 68508-1331. The Sole Source purchase will be for the following one (1) commercial item: 1 ea, P/N 951-0000 HD -1T DEGAUSSER, MODEL: DEGAUSSER Description: 1 ea, P/N 951-0000 HD -1T DEGAUSSER, 1 year extended warranty and 6 month certification. Degausser must meet DOD specifications for purging classified/sensitive information from hard disk media up to 5000 Oersteds including floppy disks, zip disks, jazz disks, and hard disk drives without removing the disk platters. Degausser must meet DOD specifications for purging all classified/sensitive information from tape media up to 2500 Oersteds including DLT III, DLT IV, Super DLT, LTO, 8 mm, DDS1, DDS2, DDS3, DDS4 and VHS. Degausser must accept hard drives to 1 inch high by 4 inches wide by 5.8 inches long. Degausser must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Approved Degausser Products List (DPL). DATA SECURITY INC is the only known source that can satisfy the requirements of the Government at this time. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals.
