Full Description

Handwheel, NSN: 5340-01-343-7556, Part Number: 12592659. The proposed contract is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside (SBSA). The item to procure is a Handwheel used on M119A1, 105MM, Howitzer. This part is machined from a Steel Precision Casting per ASTM A732, Grade 2A or Grade 130, Type 1C8620 with the Radiographic and Magnetic Particle Inspection requirement and a heavy Zinc Phosphate base and CARC painted finish (heavy phosphate MIL-DTL-16232 (finish series 5.3 of MIL-STD-171)). This solicitation will result in a Four (4) Year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Type Contract. The guaranteed minimum quantity will be 79 each. The Government is under no obligation to issue any other delivery orders against the contract, except for the minimum guaranteed quantity (79 each), which will be issued on delivery order 0001, concurrently with the award of the contract. Estimated quantities are 60 each (Ordering Period 2), 60 each (Ordering Period 3), and 60 each (Ordering Period 4). The total maximum quantity that can be bought over the life of the contract is 600 each. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 16 Feb 2010. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. A License Agreement between BAE Systems, RO Defence, and the US Government requires the items procure to be manufactured in the US. US means the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
