NSN: 5999-01-490-5102, PART NUMBER 12991956. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD FIRM FIXED PRICE CONTRACT WITH 1(ONE) 100% OPTION TO LABARGE INC. , 403 LABARGE ST, HUNTSVILLE, AR 72740. RESTRICTED UNDER FAR 6.302-1. THE CURRENT REQUIREMENT IS FOR A QTY OF 19 EACH SWITCH ASSEMBLIES. THIS ITEM IS AN ETHERNET SWITCH UNIT ASSEMBLY FOR THE M2A3 AND M3A3 BRADLEY FIGHTING VEHICLE SYSTEM. IT CONSISTS OF A COMMUNICATION BOARD CCA, ETHERNET SWITCH UNIT MOTHERBOARD CCA AND SWITCH HARNESS ASS'Y. ALL COMPONENTS ARE INSTALLED IN A TWO PART ENCLOSURE FORMED AND MACHINED ALUMINUM, HOUSING, APPROXIMATE 7.55 INCHES X 6.63 INCHES X 6.62 INCHES. The Government intends to issue this solicitation directly to LaBarge Inc. the OEM for this item. Currently the Government does not own a competitive TDP, as the switch assembly is being redesigned by the Bradley PM office. Currently, LaBarge Inc. is the only company that has the necessary technical insight to produce this item in accordance wi th the Agencys technical requirements and in time to meet its needs. After the redesign effort is complete and a formal ECP is approved, this item will be available for full and open competition. This synopsis is being published for subcontracting purposes only and offers from other contractors are not solicited. Please note that the Government does not intend to deviate or allow any extensions from the required service schedule. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued.
