The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, intends to award a sole-source contract to Axon Enterprise, Inc. for the procurement of TASER 10 conducted energy weapons and related support. This acquisition includes TASER 10 bundles, cartridges, magazines, docking stations, training equipment, and warranties. A critical component of the requirement is the integration of these devices with the existing Axon Evidence digital evidence management system to ensure proper device diagnostics, electronic activity logging, and chain-of-custody compliance for law enforcement operations. Under solicitation number DOILFBO260030, the agency is pursuing this as a sole-source procurement because Axon Enterprise, Inc. is the only manufacturer and distributor of the required equipment and the provider of the necessary software integration. While the government intends to move forward with Axon, it is currently accepting quotations or capability information from other responsible sources until September 2, 2026, to determine if a competitive procurement process is warranted.
