The contract announcement relates to the qualification requirement for manufacturing the Carrier Assembly, Driver Amplifier, part number 643R800G02, used as a critical component in the Low Power Radio Frequency section of the APG-66 Radar system. The Driver Amplifier functions as a two-stage amplifier with approximately +19 dB gain, processing an attenuated 2nd Intermediate Frequency signal that is filtered and amplified before being routed to a power splitter in the I-Q video assembly. This technical specification underscores the importance of precision and expertise in the manufacturing process to meet operational standards for the F-16 radar system. Although there is no immediate procurement need by the F-16 Logistics Operation Division, this announcement serves to conduct market research and identify contractors with the required capabilities to fulfill this manufacturing role at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. It emphasizes that this notification is not a solicitation or binding commitment for future contracts but a means to gather potential sources. Interested contractors are encouraged to request a source qualification statement for further participation. Points of contact are provided for additional information and coordination.
