The contract notice invites potential vendors to participate in Emergency Equipment Rental Agreements (EERAs) for various emergency services and equipment related to fire and other incidents. Scheduled for issuance in 2008 by the Forest Service and Department of Interior, solicitations will cover categories such as timber fallers, tent/canopies, service truck/mechanics, GIS units, mobile laundry, refrigerated trucks/trailers, and office/clerical support modules. Vendors must submit competitive bids including pricing as well as details about personnel and equipment, as only one award per equipment or service category will be granted nationally. These agreements will last three years, with no additional signup opportunities during that period. The solicitations will be distributed online only, free of charge, and expected to be released regionally throughout the fall and winter months. Vendors interested in participating must have current and annually updated registrations in the Central Contractor Registration System. To access solicitations, vendors can download them from the official government procurement website, FedBizOpps. Contacts are provided for additional guidance: Dell McCann for the Region Two Area, and Christina Schofield for specific geographic areas such as the Arapaho Roosevelt and Pawnee National Grassland. Ms. Schofield also handles the EERA package distribution and processing. The contract is managed by the Rocky Mountain Regional Office of the Department of Agriculture, based in Lakewood, Colorado.

This notices is being posted for potential offerors interested in signing up emergency equipment/services for fire and other incidents. The Forest Service and Department of Interior intend to issue solicitations for the following equipment/services in 2008, to obtain resources for preseason incident agreements (EERAs). Solicitations will be issued for timber fallers, tent/canopy, service truck/mechanics, GIS units, mobile laundry, refrigerated truck/trailer, and office/clerical support modules. Rather than the agencies setting the price, this method requires vendors to compete by providing a price, as well as personnel and equipment information for consideration. In order to receive an EERA for these categories of equipment/services, vendors must respond to the solicitations when they are issued. Only one award nationally will be made for any piece of equipment r service within a category. The EERAs that are issued will be for a period of three years. There WILL NOT be another opportunity to sign up these types of equipment/services until the end of that three year period. Standard specifications will be included in the solicitations to increase consistency. The solicitations will only be available online and will not be mailed out hardcopy. It is expected that solicitations will be issued on a geographic basis throughout the winter/fall months. They will be available for free download at www.fedbizopps.gov. To be considered for award, vendors must maintain a current registration in the Central Contractor's Registration System (http://www.ccr.gov). This registration must be updated annually. For additional information for your the Region Two Area, contact Dell McCann at +1 (555) 000-0000. If you are interested in signing up any other type of equipment under an EERA for the Arapaho Roosevelt and Pawnee National Grassland geographic area, contact Christina Schofield at +1 (555) 000-0000 for the required EERA package. Ms. Schofield will send you a copy of the EERA package to complete and return to her for processing.

2026 Volunteer Fire Capacity Grant
Solicitation # 2139681
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is administering the 2026 Volunteer Fire Capacity Grant Program, funded by a federal appropriation of 857,629 dollars. This program provides matching grants to eligible rural fire departments for the purchase of wildland firefighting suppression supplies. To be eligible, departments must be comprised of at least 80 percent volunteer personnel and serve a rural area, defined as a town or village with a population of 10,000 or less based on the 2020 Census. Selected departments can receive a maximum award of 3,500 dollars, which must be matched 50/50 by the recipient. Grant funds must be used for items directly related to wildland firefighting that benefit the local rural community, with a restriction that no individual item exceeds 9,999 dollars. Selection is based on the department's funding history over the previous five years, whether it is a newly formed establishment, and the presence of a Native American community within its jurisdiction. The program operates under federal guidelines from the US Forest Service and the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978. Applications are accepted through December 30, 2026. This solicitation does not have specific goals for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Minority, Women, or Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. All inquiries and applications are managed by the Volunteer Fire Capacity Grant Coordinator within the Division of Forest Protection.
