The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following item: CL-20 Explosive. This requirement is sole sourced to ATK Launch Systems Inc. P.O. Box 707, M/S T80 Brigham City, UT 84302. ATK-Thiokol is the only US manufacturer of CL-20. In fact, ATK-Thiokol is currently the only licensed (from the US-Navy) vendor to make and sell CL-20 in the USA. Any firms believing that they can provide the CL-20 may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the material.
