The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, IDEAL PRODUCTS INC., 126 Capital Ct., Nicholasville, KY 40356. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This acquisition is for explosive disposal training. Requirements are for the contractor to 63 EA, electrical breeches (Part #K1090-B), can be fired with 50 cap initiator and remote initiating system that does not require an explosive force to function, 630 EA, straight fittings for mini tube (Part #3052), mini tube .090, Red and equipment used to convert current shock tube initiated breech to mini tube), 630 EA mini tube inserts, (Part #3012, mini tube .090), and 3150 EA mini tube (black .090) ferrule nuts (Part #3077) for the PAN Disrupter. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325920 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer not later than 30 April 2012, 3:00 pm CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with TTOS. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items.
