Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract The National Capital Region Contracting Center (NCRCC) on behalf of the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General (DODIG), intends to award a sole source contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-5(a)(2) - Authorized or required by statute, wherein the Headquarters U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command has authorized usage of the DOI Ammunition contract# DOI-16-2011, which is awarded to the Olin Corporation - Winchester Division located at 427 N. Shamrock, E. Alton, IL 62024 for this action. This requirement is for the purchase of 12 gauge slugs, 12 gauge bucks and 5.56mm frangible ammunition (147 cases) for the Department of Defense Inspector General (DODIG), which shall be delivered to various locations though out the United States. Per Department of Defense (DOD) guidance, the DODIG is required to purchase ammunition from Government sources, however, the Government may from time to time grant usage of other Government contracts or sources for munitions. The items requested under this procurement are: 1) 12 Gauge Slug/X12RS15, Qty 9,547 rounds ea 2) 12 Gauge Slug (Lead Free)/RA12RSSF, Qty 3,550 rounds ea 3) 12 Gauge Slug (Frangible)/RA12RSSF, Qty 2,250 rounds ea 4) 12 Gauge Buck (Lead Free)/RA1200SF, Qty 750 rounds ea 5) 12 Gauge Buck (Frangible)/RA1200SF, Qty 250 rounds ea 6) 5.56 mm (Frangible), Qty 12,800 rounds ea This requirement will result in the award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for delivery dates to be determined by availability and delivery location. The NAICS code for this action is 332992 with a size standard of 1000 employees. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation document. No RFQ will be available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
