The U.S. Army TACOM/ARDEC is seeking qualified small business firms who can respond to a request for proposal to manufacture and deliver approximately 280,000 each M795 High Projectile Metal Pallets from FY03 through FY07. A qualified source should possess the equipment, process technology and manufacturing experience to forge, heat treat, nose overlay weld, machine, zinc phosphate, paint and inspect by hydrostatic and ultrasonic means, the M795. The projectile metal parts are to be made from high fragmentation steel and require specialized rotating band overlay welding skills and equipment for HF-1 steel. The Government will not facilitize prospective offerors. Any offeror will be required to self facilitize at their own expense. Interested manufacturers are requested to submitg a capabilities statement and the lead time required to develop and debug the process, acquire material, equipment, etc. leading up to production deliveries. This information should be sent by Electronic Commerce (EC) to contact@example.gov which should address at a minimum, the items delineated under the numbered note indicated below. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this market survey. This notice is for informational purposes only.
