Please note the date change in paragraph 3. The U.S. Air Force Material Command, Ogden Air Logistics Center, Air-To-Surface Munitions Directorate, Hill AFB UT, is seeking potential sources that are currently remanufacturing or have similar experiences in manufacturing or remanufacturing Medium Caliber Ammunition. Potential sources shall have Radioactive Material License or similar permit to allow for receipt and handling of the Depleted Uranium projectiles. This project will assess the feasibility of remanufacturing 30MM Combat Mix Ammunition and consist of eight lots (2300 rounds/lot) of suspended or overage ammunition. The API & HEI projectiles will be removed from the cartridge case, cleaned of sealants, screened for defects, and the serviceable projectiles assembled on new cartridge cases with new propellants. The remanufactured rounds will be sent to Eglin AFB, FL for testing.
