Through the Statewide Contracts established by this solicitation, Washington state agencies and other eligible purchasers may obtain contracted lamps, ballasts, retrofit kits and lamps recycling containers: Category 1 – Lamps: This category requires Contractors to supply a comprehensive inventory of lamps in various types, wattages, base configuration, color temperatures and form factors to meet operational needs of State Agencies and other eligible purchasers. Required lamp types may include but are not limited to: Linear Fluorescent Lamps Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL LED Lamps High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Lamps Incandescent and Halogen Lamps Specialty and Exit/Emergency Lamps Category 2 – Ballasts: This category requires Contractors to supply electronic and magnetic ballasts compatible with lamp types used by State Agencies and other Eligible Purchasers. Required ballast types may include, but not limited to: Electronic Fluorescent Ballasts Dimming Ballasts HID Ballasts LED Drivers Category 3 – Retrofit Kits: This category requires Contractors to supply lighting retrofit kits designed to upgrade existing fixtures to more energy-efficient technologies without requiring full fixture replacement. Required retrofit kits may include, but not limited to: LED Troffer Retrofit Kits LED High Bay Retrofit Kits LED Tube Retrofit Kits Recessed Downlight Retrofit Kits Exterior Retrofit Kits Category 4 – Lamp Recycling Containers: This category requires Contractors to supply lamp recycling containers suitable for the safe collection, storage, and transport of spent lamps and ballasts in compliance with applicable federal and state environmental regulations governing the disposal of mercury-containing lamps and other hazardous lighting materials. This category consists of approved containers, packaging systems, and mail back kits used for the safe collection, storage, and transport of mercury containing lamps and ballasts in accordance with applicable environmental regulations. These containers must meet safety and handling requirements and support state environmental and mercury reduction policies.
