146 Street East and East Avenue T Illegal Tire Disposal Site

The California Department of Resource Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) is managing a remediation project to clear an illegal tire and solid waste disposal site located in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, specifically about 0.15 miles south of the intersection of 146th Street East and East Avenue T in Llano, California. The project involves the loading, hauling, and disposal of illegally dumped tires and incidental solid waste at approved recycling and disposal facilities. This effort is part of the Solid Waste Disposal and Co-disposal Site Cleanup Program and is supported by Class 1 and Class 8 categorical exemptions under the California Environmental Quality Act. The work will be performed on a time-and-materials basis by an existing Southern California remediation contractor under contract number DRR25034. The estimated project cost is 40,000 dollars, which includes a 50 percent contingency, with funding provided by the Solid Waste Disposal Trust Fund and Tire Support Fund for fiscal year 2026-27.
