The Naval Air Systems Command plans to award a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-03-G-0003 to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for Non-Recurring Engineering and logistical efforts related to incorporating a structural titanium beam into the MH-60S aircraft production. This modification aims to enhance the airframe’s structural integrity. The procurement will be conducted on a sole-source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, as Sikorsky is the only responsible source possessing the proprietary technical data, experience, and specialized capabilities necessary to fulfill the requirements within the required timeframe. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is uniquely qualified as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MH-60S aircraft, making this a non-competitive procurement. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and interested parties are encouraged to contact Sikorsky’s Small Business Liaison Office. The contract is managed by the Naval Air Systems Command located in Patuxent River, Maryland, with designated contract specialists available for further information. This initiative underscores the Department of Defense’s commitment to maintaining and upgrading critical aircraft components through specialized engineering efforts.
