The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to modify a sole source firm-fixed-price IDIQ contract with Moog, Inc. to enhance actuator systems for 30mm guns used in Battle Management Systems. This modification focuses on retrofitting existing 30mm gun controllers and their components to function as common controllers compatible with multiple weapon systems, while also delivering additional systems equipped with these common controllers. The government has identified Moog, Inc. as the only responsible source capable of meeting the configuration and performance requirements due to the contractor's proprietary rights to the Interface Control Document. Under this effort, the government will issue a delivery order for thirty 30mm Actuator Systems, fourteen additional common controllers, and the retrofitting of eight existing controllers. The original contract was established for a five-year term with a ceiling of 5,502,264 dollars. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (4) (1) and FAR 6.302-1.
