This contract, solicitation number SPRTA1-14-R-0159, is for the procurement of clutch assemblies designed to stop the rotation of air recirculation blowers for B-1 aircraft. The requirement covers a best estimated quantity of 30 units, with a maximum limit of 45 units, across several part numbers including 767145-10, 767145-12, and 767145-14. Deliveries are scheduled in monthly increments of 5 units from March 26, 2015, through August 26, 2015, to destination SW3210. The government intends to negotiate this action with Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation as the sole known source, citing source controlled drawings and a lack of available data to facilitate competitive bidding under FAR 6.302. While the agency is pursuing a limited source procurement, it allows all responsible sources to submit capability statements or proposals for consideration. An Ombudsman has been appointed to handle contractor concerns during the proposal phase, and the solicitation is managed electronically via fedbizops.gov.
