AI Contract Overview

The Air Force has issued a notice under FAR 9.2 establishing Qualification Requirements (QRs) for companies interested in the repair and overhaul of specific Thrust Control Lever Module Assemblies, identified by respective National Stock Numbers (NSNs) and Part Numbers (PNs). This notice serves as a precursor to a source approval process, indicating that any company wishing to perform repair or overhaul services on these components must first meet these established qualifications. Importantly, this is not a solicitation for proposals, nor does it suggest that the Air Force currently intends to contract repair or has access to technical data necessary for these repairs. Interested parties must submit written requests to obtain the Qualification Requirements documentation through the Small Business Office at Tinker Air Force Base, with no telephone inquiries allowed. The notice lists the NSNs 1680-01-203-7375RK and 1680-01-204-3540RK corresponding to Thrust Control Lever Module Assemblies. No specific issue or response dates are provided, and the notice does not specify a set-aside status or detailed organizational or NAICS information. This process focuses on establishing a qualified pool of repair sources for future potential contracts rather than an immediate procurement action.

The City is not required to award to the lowest cost proposer. Bidders must provide a bid security of 10%, along with payment and performance bonds of 100% and a maintenance bond of 50%.
