Repair Exterior Buildings 1, 2, and 5 Sector Northern New England. Repair /replace siding, roof, ex.t man doors, OH doors and windows. Incudes gutters, downspouts and snowguards. Major M&R of these buildings include:
• Window caulking repair • Masonry repairs • ADA Ramp/Railings repair • Concrete walkway/stairway repairs • Replace Doors • Repair foundation/water infiltration • Abate deteriorated LBP in boiler room • Minor roof repairs
BACKGROUND: Buildings 1 & 2 are masonry exterior structures that were building approximately 100 years ago. Both buildings are aging and need repairs to extend operational readiness for the Sector personnel.
The exterior masonry requires re-pointing and repairs to ensure a weathertight envelope. In addition the windows and doors are leaking during adverse weather and require repair/reseal. This is causing damages to finished occupied spaces within the buildings.
The concrete foundation is cracking and water is infiltrating into the mechanical/electrical spaces. The leaking wall is located where the building electrical panels and wiring are located, posing an electrical risk and failure of system. Exterior concrete ramp is spalled and requires repairs to maintain ADA compliance.
