NAVFAC ENGENEER ASSESSMENT COMMENTS AS FOLLOWS: 340, 341, 343: - Structural steel framing connecting door to concrete headwall has heavy surface rust. Heavy deterioration/delamination of the steel occurs at gusset plates and bolts/nuts - Cantilevered beam supporting door motor vibrates when door is opening. The steel motor mount is heavily corroded and appears to excessively vibrate when the door is opened. - Cantilevered door stop beam is heavily corroded. The plate and bolts connecting the door stop to the concrete headwall is heavily corroded 342 & 348: - Steel Air Vents penetrating the concrete headwall have heavy surface rust. there are areas on the vents where the steel is delaminating. - Air vents have coating failure. - Steel Doors and door hardware have heavy surface rust and minor delamination. - The painted coating over the Air Vents and doors has failed. REPLACE ALL ROOF STACKS REPAIRS TO STEEL AND COATINGS FOR DOORS AND VENTS AT MAGAZINES BLDGS 340, 341, 342, 343 AND 348 DNA
