On January 25, 2010, the General Services Administration (GSA) conducted an industry meeting in Arlington, VA, to discuss the 2011 Draft Bus Federal Standards. The meeting gathered 41 representatives from 20 companies and five GSA Automotive Staff members. Peter Mielke from GSA Engineering led the briefing, focusing on the anticipated industry offerings for 2011 and requesting that prospective vendors submit information on commercially available bus products and specifications. This data aims to support government market research and could complement existing standard items listed on the Federal Standards. Attendees were invited to send their product information via email to designated GSA contacts within two weeks of the meeting date. The event included a presentation and an attached list of participants, reflecting the collaborative effort to update and refine federal bus standards.
