Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML)-Lite Prototype Effort
Solicitation # W50RAJ27CAML_LITE
The Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML)-Lite Prototype Effort is a competitive procurement conducted under 10 U.S.C. section 4022 Other Transaction Authority to develop a mobile, optionally manned, autonomous launcher for cross-domain offensive and defensive fires. The program is structured in two phases, beginning with Phase 1, which requires a prototype demonstration at Talisman Sabre 2027 in August 2027. This initial phase includes a priced option for the acquisition of additional prototype units, New Equipment Training, and Contractor Logistics Support. Phase 2 focuses on prototype maturation and integration into a common CAML architecture. The government seeks solutions that utilize a Modular Open Systems Approach to ensure interchangeable modules and autonomous munition resupply with minimal human intervention. The procurement process begins with the submission of a Solutions Brief, with a deadline of October 26, 2026. The government will evaluate these briefs based on technical soundness, credibility in addressing objectives, and the feasibility of the maturation path to select the most meritorious respondents for a subsequent Request for Prototype Proposal. Award for Phase 1 is expected by December 18, 2026. Selected performers must assume full responsibility for international logistics and compliance for transporting systems to Australia. Funding for the demonstration will be provided at initial award, though performer investment is required and may positively influence selection. Final acceptance of the effort is contingent upon successful performance verification, cybersecurity Authority to Operate, and government approval of the Technical Data Package.

Protein Palace Proposers Day
Solicitation # DARPA-SN-27-01
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is initiating the Protein Palace program to develop a universal, tunable protein purification platform. This initiative aims to replace the traditional lock-and-key paradigm with a system capable of purifying multiple proteins from a single system by leveraging unique physicochemical characteristics to improve specificity, generalizability, and scalability in biomanufacturing. The program is structured into two distinct phases: a 24-month Phase 1 focused on proving feasibility and specificity by separating eight different proteins, followed by an 18-month Phase 2 focused on increasing throughput and volume, demonstrated on two additional proteins that are difficult to purify using current state-of-the-art methods. To support this effort, DARPA is hosting an in-person Proposers Day on November 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET at the Executive Conference Center in Arlington, Virginia. Interested parties must register by November 9, 2026, and provide government-issued photo identification for entry. While the current Special Notice DARPA-SN-27-01 is for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation, DARPA anticipates releasing the full solicitation on sam.gov prior to the event. The Proposers Day will be held at the unclassified level, and any presented materials must be suitable for unlimited public release.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Research And Commercial Solutions Opening (RCSO) Area Of Interest (AOI) - Complexity Of Systems And Operations
Solicitation # 693KA8-27-T-00003
Solicitation 693KA8-27-T-00003 is a request from the Federal Aviation Administration for innovative research and solutions regarding the Complexity of Systems and Operations. This effort falls under the broader Research and Commercial Solutions Opening BAA-693KA8-26-RCSO and focuses on aviation safety research to advance the understanding of human factors and performance. Specifically, the agency is seeking solutions that address complexity from the perspectives of pilots and aircraft maintenance personnel, covering areas such as pilot-machine interfaces, the explainability of complex automation and artificial intelligence, and the mental models used for monitoring and troubleshooting complex systems. The goal is to produce high-quality human factors data, rigorously documented analyses, and actionable tools or criteria to enhance the National Airspace System. The procurement process is phased, beginning with the submission of Research/Solution Briefs, followed by Pitch Sessions, and concluding with a Request for Proposal for selected entities. Submissions are evaluated based on technical merit, innovation, relevance to the problem statement, and feasibility. Successful candidates will be awarded Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), with terms and conditions negotiated directly between the Agreements Officer and the selected entity. All submissions must be unclassified, and the agency encourages participation from nontraditional government contractors, including small businesses. The response deadline for this specific Area of Interest is November 2, 2026.
