Full Description

Scope: The City of Columbus Department of Building and Zoning Services (hereinafter “City”) is seeking a licensed Landfill Services contractor (hereinafter “Contractor”) to allow the City’s Weed and Solid Waste Abatement vendors (hereinafter “Vendors”) to dump solid waste removed from abated properties at their collection facility. The City contracts annually with 10-12 Vendors to provide Weed/Grass Cutting and Solid Waste Removal services under a work order contract. The Vendors are tasked with the abatement of grass, weeds, and solid waste on specifically designated, privately owned property where the City has determined it necessary to take action pursuant to Columbus City Code Section 701.19. These Vendors will remove solid or semi-solid material resulting from industrial, commercial, agricultural, or residential operations, including but not limited to earth or materials from construction or demolition operations, garbage, bulky items, combustible or non-combustible materials, debris, and any other substances or materials which are harmful to the public health. The amount needing disposed of from each property will range from one cubic foot to tons of material. The City seeks to enter into one contract for this service, which will run from approximately May 1st, 2024, through April 30th, 2025, and may be renewed for up to one more year thereafter. The contract amount will be $30,000. Interested bidders shall respond to this solicitation by submitting a bid through the City of Columbus’ Vendor Services Portal. For additional information concerning this bid, including procedures for obtaining a copy of the bid document(s) and how to submit a proposal, you must go to the City of Columbus Vendor Services web page (http://vendorservices.columbus.gov) and view this bid number in the open solicitations listing. 1.4 Specification Questions: Questions regarding this bid must be submitted on the Vendor Services portal by 12:00 pm Wednesday, March 06th, 2024.
