Provider will deliver Pharmacy Services to 208 Long Term Care beds, 60 Hospital Act beds and 8 Mental Health Act Schedule A beds in the East Kootenay Region. The Services include provision of prescription medications, over-the-counter medications (OTC's), and stock or contingency medications and associated supplies as well as clinical pharmacist review and consultation. Further, as the usage of IV Therapy in Long-term care increases, the Contractor will provide this service on an as needed basis. Services will be 365 days per year including all holidays. The Pharmacy Services provider will ensure compliance with the Authority standards for medication management, medication room audits, and participate in multi-disciplinary rounds. Services are required for day-to-day and urgent pharmacy services inclusive of delivery during the organization’s operating hours and pharmacist consultation.
