The Douglasville ¿ Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority (the ¿Authority¿) is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the performance of the Blairs Bridge Road Stormwater Improvement Project (the ¿Project¿), as more fully described in the Invitation for Bids. The scope of work includes the provision by the bidder or contractor of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work. The Project will be ¿turnkey¿ and require minimal involvement of Authority personnel.
The work to be performed shall include, but is not limited to, the removal of approximately 92 linear feet (LF) of two 35¿x24¿ arch-corrugated metal pipes (CMP) and the surrounding pavement. The Project includes the installation of two new 34¿x53¿ elliptical reinforced concrete pipes (RCP), one being 67 LF and one being 73 LF, as well as two new concrete headwalls. Approximately 166 LF of guardrail will also be installed. The road will be restored after the new culvert is installed. The Project site is located within the City of Douglasville. Plans for Blairs Bridge Road Stormwater Improvement Project have been prepared by RINDT, Inc. (¿RINDT¿), Eric Sluder, PE, dated 04/30/2025. Special Conditions and Appendices contain more detailed information about the Project scope.
All work will be performed within Authority easements and/or inside public right-of-way. All anticipated rights-of-way and easements required for the Project have been obtained. All anticipated federal, state, and local permits required for the Project have been obtained.
