The Municipality of North Cowichan is seeking to prepare a streetscape design guide specific to the Bell McKinnon Local Area Plan (BMLAP) area. The BMLAP, adopted in 2018, sets out a vision for the area which is designated as a growth centre and is anchored by the new Cowichan Regional Hospital (currently under construction). The BMLAP calls for a focus on the environment and a high-quality public realm and pedestrian experience. Building on the policy direction from the BMLAP, the streetscape design guide will provide visual/spatial details such as the style, materials, elements, and spacing. The simple, easy-to-use guide will assist both Municipal staff and developers in the provision of cohesive and high-quality public spaces and a unified public realm for the Bell McKinnon Local Area Plan area.Full project details can be found Bid Opportunities | Municipality of North CowichanPlease only apply through the North Cowichan procurement page. BC Bid will not be monitored.
