2026 USMARC Corn

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is soliciting bids for the supply and transportation of 100,000 bushels of U.S. Yellow Corn, Grade 2, to be used as animal feed at the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) in Clay Center, Nebraska. The contract is a fixed-price agreement per bushel, inclusive of transportation, with pricing locked at the time of award regardless of market fluctuations. All corn must be delivered in hopper bottom trucks within sixty days of the contract award, with deliveries scheduled during normal business hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Technical specifications for the corn include a maximum moisture content of 15.0%, a minimum test weight of 54 lbs. per bushel, and strict limits on foreign material (3% maximum), damaged kernels (5% maximum), and heat damaged kernels (0.2% maximum). Every delivery must be accompanied by a scale ticket detailing gross, tare, and net weights. USMARC personnel will inspect and sample each load upon arrival, and the University reserves the right to reject any product that is non-conformant or of poor quality. The contractor is responsible for all costs associated with removing rejected loads. Award will be granted to the bidder offering the best overall value, based on cost competitiveness, past performance, delivery capability, and compliance with technical specifications. Invoicing is permitted only after products are received and accepted by USMARC, and must strictly adhere to University purchase order requirements, including one purchase order per invoice.
