Full Description

The purpose of this IFB is to purchase appropriately specified hardware and support services that will position the City of Lynchburg (City) for a large migration to a new, more cost-effective virtualization platform before larger anticipated increases with longer vendor lock-ins are imposed in 2027. Cost savings for the City is of high importance. The City seeks quality refurbished components and highly rated warranty support services to not only reduce costs over the next 5 years but to also replace several older, difficult to maintain, systems. As a result, considerable performance gains in speed and reliability are anticipated.
