2027-10 Professional Services for Weed Beach Bathhouse Deck

The Town of Darien is soliciting professional architectural and engineering services for the investigation and structural analysis of the bathhouse deck at Weed Beach, located at 155 Nearwater Lane, Darien, CT. The primary objective of Phase A is to conduct a thorough investigation and provide recommendations for the repair or full replacement of the deck. Because of the site's location, the Town requires a firm with specific expertise in FEMA flood zones, substantial improvement requirements, and the associated permitting processes. All recommendations and subsequent designs must comply with ADA, FEMA, and CT DEEP regulations. The Town aims to have any resulting construction completed in time for the 2027 summer season. Proposals are due by 3:00pm on October 1, 2026, and must be submitted as one original and two copies to the Office of the Selectmen; electronic submissions are not accepted.
