SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY: This is a Sources Sought request for information to be used for market research purposes only. The government is interested in all small businesses, 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned or Woman Owned Small Businesses that are interested in performing this requirement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: Responses to this announcement are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The Government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. Respondents should also note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this RFI. Respondents should not submit any proprietary information when responding to this RFI. The Black Hills National Forest requirement is to obtain services for timber stand improvement, fuel reduction related work to include POL and pre-commercial thinning. Work will be conducted on the Hell Canyon, and Pine Ridge Ranger Districts, Black Hills and Nebraska National Forests, Custer and Pennington Counties, South Dakota, and Dawes County, Nebraska. All operations on the Pine Ridge units are limited from July 18, 2011 through November 23, 2011. Operational restrictions for all Nottingham and Coulsen units are limited from May 1 through December 15 of each year. There are no operational restrictions for the remainder of units included under his contract. All work under this contract shall be completed no later than August 31, 2014. Option Item units will be added as additional funding is secured. The completion date of this contract will not be adjusted or lengthened for added Option Item units.
