Full Description

WCC intends to competitively award a FFP order for two each sedans (FSC 2310/NAICS 336111)) modified with armoring material (special protected). The vehicles to be furnished under the contract shall be new, from the manufacturers most current production; gasoline engine; min. 200kW; automatic transmission; air conditioning. Vehicles to be modified to a minimum European protection level of min. B6. The ballistic protection shall be in accordance with testing procedures utilized by the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA), Beschussamt Ulm/ Mellrichstadt, Germany, and /or U.S. testing certification procedures. Only those opaque and transparent armor materials tested by an armor est laboratory (e.g. H.P. White, USA, or Beschussamt Mellrichstadt/Ulm, Germany) and having received certification shall be used in the special protected vehicle fabrication. Vehicles must conform to current Department of State (DOS) specifications and standards for explosive, blast and arms protection. Vehicles are for overseas use. Vehicles shall meet the applicable requirements of the German Strassen-Verkehreszulassungsordnung (StZVO)/general operating authorization (Allemeine Betriebserlaubnis) for Germany. Vehicles shall be delivered 150 days after date of order, earlier delivery is encouraged at no additional cost to the US Government. Delivery shall be FOB destination within Germany. Procurement is being conducted IAW requirements of FAR Part 13, Subpart 13.5 and FAR Part 12. Note 12 applies. Request for Quotation (RFQ) W912CM-08-T-0103 will be issued on or about 23 Jun 08 with a closing date of on or about 15 July 08.
