The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is issuing an amended Request for Standing Offer for the supply and delivery of solid carbon dioxide (CO2) dry ice to multiple NRC locations within the National Capital Region. This contract requires a supplier capable of providing high-purity dry ice (greater than 99%) in various forms—nuggets, slabs, or blocks—with immediate delivery availability, adhering to all applicable safety standards and regulations, including CGA, WHMIS, and TDG. Deliveries are expected during regular business hours at specified NRC addresses in Ottawa, with quantities ordered on an as-needed basis over the contract period. The contract also specifies fixed all-inclusive pricing for the supply and delivery of dry ice, including a flat-rate delivery charge, with no additional fees allowed. The contract includes an estimated annual consumption of 10,000 kilograms split across various dry ice forms and approximately 100 deliveries. This amendment extends the bid submission deadline to May 1, 2026, allowing bidders more time to prepare comprehensive proposals. The Standing Offer may be renewed for up to three additional one-year periods under the same terms, with pricing to be confirmed prior to each renewal. The supplier is expected to maintain sufficient stock to meet urgent requests and comply with ISO 9001 quality management or equivalent standards. The contract emphasizes timely, reliable delivery during Monday to Friday business hours and requires thorough documentation to support product specifications, purity, and safety compliance. A specific contracting authority is designated for queries, and further details can be accessed through the official Canada Buys portal.
